Manufacturing and large batch assembly for mass metrology
At the heart of Metryx is the Metryx Metior range, an in-line process monitoring solution that rapidly identifies production wafer trends and excursions. Mass metrology provides a unique measurement of any change in mass that occurs because of any process step. Monitoring these changes in mass is an effective in-line check that reveals the true wafer means whilst flagging the bad wafers.
In 2002, Metryx began selling its unique mass metrology technology to semiconductor manufacturers. Today, that technology is in volume production all over the world. Their system helps fabrication factories operate at full capacity and produces wafers quicker than ever before to ensure their process runs at an optimal level.

Metryx first approached Cubik for help with a design alteration to an existing product including a prototype run of the products printed circuit boards (PCBs). Following the success of the design alteration, Cubik undertook several different projects including the development and ongoing batch build of a set of 13 different PCBs.
They got in touch again when they needed help to procure, assemble and test a set of electrical and mechanical products. Previously, these had been designed and assembled in small quantities either in-house or by another supplier. But, as the product became more successful, they needed help to produce assembly batches on a much larger scale. Given our in depth understanding of Metryx products, and the ongoing production of their PCBs, we were well placed to deliver the assembly project.
