We are a unique electronic product design consultancy specialising in design, software, prototype and production. We work with a wide range of customers ranging from local inventors and entrepreneurs, to SME’s, academic institutions and international corporations. Since Cubik was established in 2012, we have gone from strength to strength and have expanded our list of services to facilitate full electronic product design from concept to production.

Our office is based at Verona House in Fishponds, Bristol. Our team of over twenty Cubites are a pretty great bunch and enjoy sharing knowledge, best practices and bouncing ideas around the office. We pride ourselves on our ability to work collaboratively, find unique solutions and deliver epic end products to our customers.

Graduate Software Engineer

Cubik Innovation is seeking a graduate engineer who wants to put their knowledge to the test. They will join the team to work on live projects, developing systems for a wide variety of companies and industries. Our engineers are hard-working, knowledgeable, driven, and look for Graduate Engineers to participate in every level of design and development, contributing their own knowledge to each project

Cubik’s growth has been unprecedented, with a strong team of 24. We are now looking for talented individuals to join this team and facilitate more project work for our customers.

What do you need?

  • Have completed relevant degree level qualification.
  • Or have two years relevant experience.
  • Be comfortable programming in C.
  • Have demonstrable experience and knowledge in one or more other language, such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Have experience using debugging tools in an embedded IDE.
  • Have a good basic understanding of board to board communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, etc).
  • Have a basic understanding of electronic design and the ability to read schematics.

Lab Technician

Cubik Innovation is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, energetic Lab Technician to join our expanding, highly successful Team.

The successful candidate will be able to take control of all prototype PCB, cable harnesses and box build assembly within Cubik. This will involve procurement of the required components and mechanical items, as well as the Electronic PCB assembly Automated and Manual, through-hole assembly, testing, fault finding and rework of PCBA’s. They must be able to comply with IPC, ESD and company standards.

IPC Specialist Certification would be advantageous however training can be provided.

What do you need?

  • Completed a relevant degree level course and have 1 years’ experience.
  • Or have 3 years relevant experience.
  • Have a good understanding of electronics.
  • Be familiar with electronic components and Bills of Materials.
  • Have a good knowledge of production process such as;
    • Automated and Manual SMT Assembly
    • Through-hole assembly
    • Testing procedures
    • Rework procedures
    • Reflow techniques
    • Cable Assembly
    • Mechanical assembly

Trainee Production Engineer

Cubik Innovation is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Trainee Production Engineer to join our expanding, highly successful Production Team. The successful candidate will have a passion for tinkering and may have hobbies including, electronics and computing.

They will be keen to learn and develop the ability to take a hands-on approach to the assembly and Testing of Electronic PCBs. They will also be enthusiastic about learning to comply with IPC, ESD and company standards.

Junior Production Test Engineer

Cubik Innovation is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, energetic Junior Production Test Engineer with an interest specifically in Testing of Electronic Assemblies to join our expanding, highly successful Production Team.

We are a unique electronic product design consultancy, with the capability to work across design, software, prototype, and production, enabling our customers to take their concepts from design to prototype and all the way to market.

We work with customers ranging from local inventors and entrepreneurs to SMEs and academic institutions right up to large, international corporations. Cubik’s growth has been unprecedented, with a strong team of 24. We are now looking for talented individuals to join this team and facilitate more project work for our customers.

The successful candidate will be able to take a hands-on approach to the Testing of Electronic PCBs, specifically functionality testing, user acceptance testing, fault finding and rework. They will also be familiar with the assembly of PCBs and be able to comply with IPC, ESD and company standards.

What do you need?

  • Completed a relevant degree level course
  • Or have 2 years relevant experience
  • Have a basic understanding of electronics
  • Have a knowledge of production testing processes such as;
    • Testing procedures
    • Functionality Testing
    • Fault Finding
    • User Acceptance Testing
