Junior Project Manager

Cubik Innovation are looking to recruit a Junior Project Manager with a sales focus to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both relationship-building and delivery-focused environments.

You will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying and securing new customers, whilst also supporting the successful management of projects within our existing client base. Working closely with our Senior Project Manager, you’ll help ensure a seamless experience from customer discovery, through to project completion.

This role is part time: we are estimating 22.5 hours per week over Monday-Friday.

We are remaining flexible on the days and hours of work.

Operating out of our HQ in Kingswood, Bristol, Cubik are a unique electronic product design consultancy. With the capability to work across design, software, prototype, and production, enabling our customers to take their concepts all the way through to market.

We work with customers ranging from local inventors and entrepreneurs to SMEs and academic institutions, right up to large, international corporations.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

Project Management

  • Manage project timelines, and resource allocation
  • Support the Senior Project Manager with active projects
  • Coordinate project delivery
  • Ensure clear communication between customers and internal teams
  • Monitor progress and help resolve any issues to keep projects on track

Account Management

  • Nurture and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Act as a key point of contact for client enquiries and ongoing needs
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or additional services

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations
  • Support the development of sales strategies aligned with company growth goals
  • Maintain an active pipeline and report on sales performance

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Highly organised: Ability to cope with a range of competing responsibilities and tasks whilst remaining in control.
  • Client management: Able to manage customer expectations effectively, fostering lasting client relationships, identifying needs and building client knowledge on systems and objectives.
  • Innovative: Driven to pursue innovation through the improvement of existing systems and processes.
  • Quality control: Cubik Innovation work under ISO9001:2015, any candidate must show the capability to work under ISO regulation and champion its benefits.
  • Team player: Ability to work independently whilst also able to be cohesive to an existing, close-knit team.

About You:

  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time capacity
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in a hybrid sales/project role
  • Cubik’s project structure is based around PRINCE2, although this would be a desired quality, this isn’t essential
  • Experience with Instantly AI (or a similar online sales tool)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and project management tools
  • Technically able: Perhaps with a background in electronic engineering, product design or an academic qualification adaptable to the engineering world. Demonstrable knowledge or experience of electronic design and manufacture methods and systems.
  • Technically aware: Able to understand, explain and estimate electronic design and manufacture work in order to manage and quote work effectively.

Salary will be dependent on experience in the range of - £28,000-£32,000 pro rata + benefits.
