It may come as a surprise to some, (particularly those of us here at Cubik Innovation), but as of June 2025, we've officially been in our new premises for a full year.

For those unfamiliar with the backstory, a few years ago, we were informed that our former offices had been earmarked as the site for a newhousing development. While this was an exciting development for the area, it meant we had to begin the search for a new “home” for Cubik.

Our Managing Director, Sam, and Founder, Paul, took on the challenge of finding a new space that could meet a wide range of needs. Their mission was to locate a facility that could comfortably accommodate our Business, Design, and Production teams, offer sufficient meeting space for client engagements, support future growth, and remain within close proximity to our original Bristol location, so, not a big ask really.

After a thorough search, they discovered New Work Trust(NWT), just a five-minute drive from our previous site and with improved accessto the A4174. NWT met every requirement on our checklist and quickly became the clear choice for our relocation.

As you might expect, the move itself was no small feat. Coordinating the logistics over several weeks was a complex task, from determining what could be moved when, to working out how to transport items like our 500kg Pick-and-Place machines (which aren’t exactly stairs-friendly). Throughout it all, we remained focused on maintaining business continuity and upholding the high standards our customers expect.

The phrase “team effort” truly doesn’t do justice to the spirit of collaboration that defined the move. Every member of the Cubik team played a part, some took charge of planning, others got stuck in with the physical move, and most were involved in a little of both. Along the way, friendly rivalries emerged (particularly over who could lift the most!), and team bonds were strengthened (the spontaneous drawer clear-outs were a highlight).

And then, suddenly, it was done. The servers were up and running, Production didn’t miss a beat, and the phones started ringing as if they'd never been unplugged. While our surroundings may have changed, the heart of Cubik remained the same, resilient, focused, and ready for what’s next.

So, with that in mind, here’s a brief recap of ourrelocation journey, from saying goodbye to our old offices to settling into our new home at NWT, and everything in between:

• Phase One – Clearing out the Cubik offices: boxes, racking, and equipment everywhere (along with a few questionable lifting techniques).
• Phase Two – Safely transporting all essential equipment and assets from location A to location B
• Phase Three – Welcoming the team to their new home at NWT and getting back to business as usual.
