Pitchmark is a family-run manufacturer of line-marking paints and machines, established in 2010 to improve standards for grounds staff. Its products serve customers from local sports clubs to major stadiums, including venues at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the 2016 European Championships in France.

THE CHALLENGE

Pitchmark needed a manufacturing partner for the interconnection units at the heart of its line-marking machines. Each unit connects the battery, pump, charger and trigger, while housing the protection fuses for the electrical system.

A repeatable supply of these assemblies was essential to support machine manufacture. The units also needed to retain their protective function, isolating power when a fault created an abnormal condition.

THE SOLUTION

Our relationship with Pitchmark began at the end of 2013. Using Cubik's in-house production facility, we manufactured the interconnection units in repeat batches of 100.

The assembly brought the machine's electrical connections and protection fuses together in one enclosed unit. We worked closely with Pitchmark to meet its requirements and provide support for both existing and new products.

THE IMPACT

The repeat-build programme provided an established manufacturing route for an essential part of the company's line-marking equipment. The partnership supported Pitchmark as its products reached customers in more than 20 countries across three continents, combining dependable batch manufacture with ongoing product support.
